About our Gardena insulation contractor crew
From restaurant kitchens to Gardena attics
I spent years in restaurant kitchens before a friend got me onto an insulation crew, and I learned this trade one attic and crawl space at a time. In 2013 I started our own company here in Gardena. Kitchens taught me to prep before I cook and to keep my station clean, and I brought both habits with me. On your job, the checks and the prep come before anything goes in, and we cover your floors and belongings while we work.
Most of our calls come from people in older houses, and from landlords and property managers. I still come out to look at most jobs myself, because I care that you understand your own house, whether it's the hot room over the garage or the floors that never warm up. Nobody should pay for a step they can't see or haven't had explained. That's how our Gardena insulation contractor team has worked for 13 years.
What working with us is like
You see it before you say yes
We show you what's actually in your attic, walls or crawl space and explain each step in plain words. That way you know why the job goes in the order it does before you agree to anything.
Prep comes before insulation
Before we seal or insulate, we check gas appliances, old wiring and any insulation that looks suspect, because covering a problem only hides it. If something is a job for an electrician or another trade, we tell you so instead of working around it.
An estimate you can read line by line
Your written estimate lists each step on its own line, so you can see what you're paying for and compare it with other quotes. I usually come out to give it myself, and a lead installer runs the crew that does the work.
Licenses and insurance
State contractor license
California's state contractor board requires a current license from anyone who contracts for work on a project that needs a building permit, uses employee labor, or runs $1,000 or more in labor and materials combined. We send a crew to every job, so that rule covers our work, and we're licensed and insured.
Gardena business license
The City of Gardena requires a business license from anyone doing business or working a trade in the city, wherever their office happens to be. That means it applies to every contractor working on a house here, including crews from outside Gardena.
